Wind Mobile Vancouver Launch Rumour to set up accounts prior to launch?

Wind Mobile Vancouver Launch

For real this time… Well apparently even though you will not see any Wind Mobile Store any time soon around the Vancouver Area, you can still switch over to the Wind Network prior to the OFFICIAL Vancouver Launch of Wind Mobile coming this summer.  As per our friend… well I don’t know him personally or have ever talked to him but for the matter of this post he will be my friend. Hope he accepts and here is what he had to say:

“Vancouverites are now able to sign up with WIND mobile. In order to do so, customers must call: 1-877-946-3184. When connected, you tell the customer service agent you are in Vancouver but wish to have an account setup prior to launch. In order to setup postpaid service through WIND, you must have a FICO score of 695 or higher otherwise you are only eligible to sign onto prepaid service. If prepaid and you consistently top up your account with the required funds for 6 months, you can phone back and WIND will place you onto a postpaid service.

WIND has a unique software program where you provide your name, address, DOB and email. The system will match your name, address and DOB with what is recorded on the Equifax credit file and returns a FICO score to WIND.

During the setup process, you will also be asked for a unique PIN to identify your account as well as a keyword question and answer.

Once setup, you will be provided with an account number and told you can hold off for launch in Vancouver or if you wish, you can order a phone from them directly or just a SIM. Right now, phones and SIM cards will be sent to you through no-fee courier but will have a Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton or Ottawa number assigned to them (your choice). Once launched in Vancouver, you can phone to do a FREE telephone number change or to port your number over at which point, you will receive a month of service FREE and a credit of $30 per month for 5 months ($150 total).”

Well there you have it, if you want to switch over and get the $150 credit.

Will you switch over or tried it?

        Hello Lakwinder,

Well I been hearing reports that it already those work in Surrey. The only this is that the connection is kinda choppy. Apparently by the end of the year they should have all of the lower main land. I recommend that you get a pay as you go plan from Fido and then wait until wind expands.
