A team of researchers from the University of Tokyo have developed a new technology that would make it possible for cell phones to relay emotion from cell phone to cell phone( someone else had a similar concept ) The technology consists of sensors and a Peltier device that are attached to the back of a mobile device in order to convey the emotion of the user.
So here’s the gross part and how this all works- the phone would react to sweat from your hands during your mobile conversation and the sensor that is built into the phone will start to detect this change “in the electrical resistance of the skin of your hand”. Cuz sweat is a sign of “emotional agitation”. Anyway that data is then sent to the handset of the person you’re conversing with, and with that Peltier device that they have as well it would either heat up (9c above room temp ) or cool down (3.6 c below room temp) on them emphasising your emotional state.
