The Alberta exchanges (403/780) have been exhausted and being replaced by 587. Last summer (2010) I got a new Telus cell phone and new number. That's when they started giving out 587. My wife went thru Rogers and got a 780. So the lower volume companies still had some of the old exchanges in their pool, but sooner or later they too ran out and ended up with the 587 exchange.
